Zak May
Zak grew up in Whatcom County, where his passion for the outdoors began at an early age. Starting at 12, Zak went hunting with his uncle, learning to respect firearms and hunt responsibly. In his early twenties, his interests expanded into handguns and handloading, a skill he pursued to make his range time more affordable and rewarding.
As Zak’s expertise in reloading deepened, he discovered how different elements—powder, bullets, and techniques—impacted accuracy and performance. Eager to share what he was learning, he began documenting his test loads and results, drawing a growing audience.
Today, Zak shares his considerable experience across multiple platforms. He produces his own YouTube channel, writes regularly for Wolfe Publishing in Handloaders, Rifleman Journal and Varmint Magazine, and appears as a guest on popular firearms podcasts, continuing to educate and inspire fellow enthusiasts.
